Our Mission
Kingdom Concert Solutions (KCS) is proud to offer one of the most professional, well-trained, and enthusiastic teams of security volunteers in Minnesota. Our crew members come from across the Upper Midwest, united by their faith and a desire to provide top-notch security services at little or no cost to promoters of all sizes. We are committed to keeping Christian music affordable, and we believe our assistance plays a vital role. We have all witnessed the power of Christian music and its ability to impact lives.
The KCS staff comprises many dedicated, hard-working individuals who volunteer their time and effort to ensure we recruit, train, and support the best possible crew. Great security doesn’t happen by accident. KCS is only as good as the volunteers we enlist, and I truly believe we have the best group of people anyone could ask for!
How It Started
I started coordinating security for Christian concerts as a college freshman in 1980 at the University of Minnesota campus with the Progressive Pacer. We established a strong faith-based presence in Minneapolis, organizing shows for artists such as Larry Norman, Petra, Stryper, and many others. These shows were often quite intense, but we quickly learned the ropes.
In 1987, after a conversation with Director Bob Poe, I took on the security needs for the Sonshine Festival, which led to the creation of Sonshine Security. We began with just eight crew members at a single stage and, over the next 30 years, grew to a team of over 100, providing 24/7 security for five days across as many as six stages, accommodating up to 20,000 people. The Sonshine Festival lasted 34 years, concluding in 2016, with nearly 30 years in Willmar, MN, and its final two years in Somerset, WI. My time running Sonshine Security was filled with incredible memories, cherished friendships, unforgettable stories, and deeply moving worship experiences.
Additionally, we have participated in major events like the 1996 Billy Graham Crusade at the Metrodome and Jam Productions concerts featuring DCtalk, Third Day, Audio Adrenaline, and many more.
For all 11 years of its existence, we also managed security at Joyful Noise in Blaine, collaborating with the exceptional KTIS staff and numerous prominent artists.
Currently, we provide security for OneFest in Cadott, WI, since its inaugural year in 2018. Starting at the Chippewa Falls Fairgrounds, it has since moved to the Chippewa Valley Festival Grounds in Cadott. The OneFest team demonstrated remarkable professionalism from the outset, managing every aspect of the festival with precision, organization, and clear communication. Under the leadership of Heather Flashinski, along with her dedicated board, staff, and volunteers, OneFest has exceeded all expectations.
